Dubose Heyward, legendary author of Porgy and Bess, penned this inspirational tale for his daughter. The lessons of fairness, struggle, courage and wisdom resonate with each read of this 1939 story about a brown country bunny with 21 babies who becomes an Easter Bunny. I grew up reading this story and it became my polestar in my representation of clients in discrimination cases. This story made me, and hopefully will inspire my daughter, to become a different kind of bunny. Paperback.
